Family Days at Klehm
winter hours

Saturday, December 8, 2012  through

Saturday, April 13, 2013     10am-3pm

This winter, families are invited to engage with nature at Klehm. On the second Saturday of each month, Klehm will offer themed activities for kids of all ages.

Your family will find fun ways to learn about nature outdoors through hikes, scavenger hunts and guided tours. After some exploring, warm up in the Visitors Center Gallery with hot drinks and cookies. Kids can continue learning by making a take home craft. Plus, everyone will enjoy watching birds as they come to feed just outside the Visitor Center Gallery windows.

On December 8th, discover the difference between evergreen and deciduous conifers. Families can check out a "Cones Galore" backpack tour and when they return, kids can make pine cone bird feeders.

Cost: free for Klehm members and $10 for non-member families

Winter Hours
Open Daily 9am-4pm

This winter Klehm is open seven days a week! Our Donation Days will continue to be the first Tuesday of every month, and we'll have other great events to keep you coming.

All winter long it's easy to enjoy Klehm while walking on our cleared and paved East Loop path and traversing our woodland trails that are great for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.  Don't forget... your canine friends are welcome, too.
