Stepping Out in Ministry

When I started writing CampfireTALK a few years ago, it was a simple newsletter that I had only just began.  We had signed up for the Constant Contact service and began to learn about putting together these newsletters and designing how they look.

When it first began we only had about 10-20 readers.  As time would go on, reader after reader would sign up and be added to our numbers.  I really had no idea how many were being added until one day the bill for the weekly newsletter began to go up.  You see, we pay for the number of readers.  As they increase, so does the fee for the newsletter service.

I went to check to see how many readers and folks we had set up to receive our weekly newsletter.  I was overjoyed!  As of this writing, we have readers in numbers that exceed the 340 mark!  And "THAT" is fantastic!!

There is a scripture that tells us that we are not to "despise small beginnings".  This newsletter is a prime example.  And I am sharing this with you to encourage you.  If GOD is telling you that HE wants you to do something, no matter how great or small, then you should know that no matter how small it may be in the beginning, if you are faithful, it - will - grow!  It will become bigger and larger than you'd ever dreamed, if you continue and persevere, faithfully.

So, whatever it is that GOD has been telling you  ...  go and do it!

Make me proud!
