Health Tips!

Having problems losing weight?  Ask yourself a question ... and be honest with your answer:

Do you really want to lose the weight?

If your honest answer was "yes" then you WILL lose the weight, once you decide you are willing to do what it takes to make it happen!

But if in answering honestly, you had to say, "No" then you have already made the decision.  You will NOT lose that weight.

Your will is very powerful ... that and your words!  If you really, really want to lose that weight, start "saying" to yourself each morning ...

"Body!  You will lose the weight!  You will maintain your metabolism, you will exercise, and you will submit to MY WILL as "I" decide that this will happen!"

And then you go out and  MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Jerry Savelle always says, "If it's mean to be ... it is up to me!"

You need to realize one important fact in weight loss.  It is not going to happen because you bought a new weight set, or got a cool looking workout outfit!  Nor is it going to work if you sign up with the local gym!  If you don't USE THESE ITEMS, then you are not going to see results!

"If it's mean to be ... it is up to me!"  Remember that!

The more you work out, the better you feel!  And the better you feel, the more energy you have!  Seriously!  So go out there and make-it-happen!

A Word from pastor Richbanner - WORD CHURCH -(sm).jpg

Jesus said this to His disciples ...

"I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life ..."

Everything has a price, a cost, a fee if you will, to exist.  We're no different.
Remember last week we talked about "pruning" things from our life that are no longer producing, or the things that are due to leave.

The reason we do this to plants is that it costs the plant  a portion of it's "life" to maintain that branch that we prune away.  By removing an ailing branch, the plant is able to thrive and be stronger!

Our spiritual lives are no different!  When we have many many things on our plate, or as they used to say in the days of the cowboy, "too many irons in the fire", each of those items that we are supporting, or hosting, costs us of a portion of the "Life" that resides within our spirit man.

If a man loads himself up with too much burden, he will feel oppressed, heavy, and overloaded, and not even realize he's dealing with these spiritual feelings.  You see, if you were born with a weight around your waist, and all of your life you carried that weight, you'd never really think much about it.  It is a part of you.   You have become accustomed to it!

But if you were to cut that weight away, you would feel a freedom beyond anything you've ever known!  And in so doing, I assure you it would be very hard to talk you into taking that weight back on!

The same is true with our spirits!  We carry things in life that weight us down ... responsibility, commitments, and various obligations.  And if we don't prune these away when needed, they will weigh us down.  The results can move over into the physical realm as we begin to have ailments and sicknesses due to the worry and the pressure we feel from these seemingly invisible things in our life!

So, take stock of the things around you ... things in your life, that may need to be "cut away" and pruned.

Make me proud!
