PrincipalLowe HELLO FROM PRINCIPAL LOWE

Hi Parents,
What an exciting day I've had today! I got to share my job with our "Principal for the Day," Brielle Morales. Brielle's parents donated to our school during the Spring PTO Gala to allow her to have this experience. She helped me give a private tour of our school to a family, sat in on our principal meeting, and most importantly, she got to have a walkie talkie and a key card to the doors!  We had a great time!

So, next week is our last week of school and ends my first year here at Flagstaff. I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed it! I love this school - the support from the staff, parents, and community has been incredible. I am so thrilled with our new initiatives and am looking forward to an even better second year.

Thanks to each and every one of you for making Flagstaff the wonderful community it is. We could not do what we do without you because it truly takes a village to raise respectful students who are committed to making the world a better place.

Take care,

Robin Lowe
Executive Principal
Flagstaff Academy

Brielle Morales - Principal for the Day!

I think that being principal for the day is amazing. Mrs. Lowe and Mrs. Long are amazing and so kind. Also, I am so excited for all the things we have planned for today.

Love,

Principal Brielle

The End-of-Year Picnic!
Date: Tuesday, May 24
Time: 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Location: Flagstaff Field

Come celebrate the end of the school year by enjoying a night of good friends, entertainment, splatter paint, and food!!

The highlight of the picnic is the 4th-8th Grade Talent Show, with a very special intermission program honoring Mr. Tim Baldwin and Mrs. Lisa Wilkins, two beloved Flagstaff teachers who are retiring at the end of the year.

Don't miss the Scholastic Book Fair we'll be hosting in the gym during the duration of the Talent Show! Not to mention the chance to "splatter paint" your favorite teachers as a fun way to "thank" them for all their hard work this year! (Prepare for it to get MESSY, so wear your painting clothes!)

We'll have concessions for sale (limited quantities), so bring some cash to enjoy a selection of Chick-A-Fil chicken sandwiches, chips, candy, and refreshments, or bring your own delicious picnic basket!

Our wonderful PTO will be on hand selling Dragon Spirit Wear. They would love to talk with you about upcoming summer Dragon gatherings and 2016-2017 volunteer opportunities.

We look forward to seeing you at this great Dragon community event!

Congratulations

Each bag includes spinach, radishes, Egyptian walking onions, a recipe idea on how to prepare the produce and some information on our partners Ollin Farms and Boulder County Farmers Markets.

Responses received by Tuesday, May 24 will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of three $20 gift certificates from Boulder County Farmers Markets. We will notify winners by Thursday, May 25th.

DRAGON SUPPORT FOR THE MITCHEM FAMILY

Odin Mitchem's parents have created a Caring Bridge website, where you can go there whenever you want updates on his condition, or to leave messages of support. You will need to create a Caring Bridge account. If you'd like to make a donation, please visit the GoFundMe that has been created to help support his family.
The PTO executive board would like to thank all parent volunteers for helping to build and strengthen the Flagstaff Academy community through your participation in the PTO. Participating makes all the difference to the parents, teachers, staff, and children at our school!

Having Trouble Receiving PTO Emails?
In most cases, the email address we received for you has a typo or you may have unsubscribed to a previous email. If you suspect this is the case, please send a message to the Email Coordinator [ajpkallal@gmail.com] to make sure we have the most current information for you. You can also set up a filter in your email account to help ensure our messages do not end up in your Junk or Spam folders. Instructions on how to do this for your Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail account can be found here.
