HELLO FROM EXECUTIVE PRINCIPAL LOWE

Hi Parents,

Fall is definitely in full swing - it was exciting for me this week to wake up to a dusting of snow at our home!  I sent a picture to our children and my son who lives in Chicago said, "Aww, I remember my first snow."  Even when they grow up they can be facetious!

We had our first Weekly Daytime Tour and Open House this week for prospective parents.  There was a great turnout and lots of excitement in the air.  Gearing up for enrollment season is exciting!

Stay warm this weekend - enjoy the sunshine.

Robin Lowe,
Executive Principal

HARVEST DAY - TASTY TURNIPS!

It's Time for Tasty Turnips!

On Thursday, November 12, we are hosting our 2nd Harvest Day highlighting Hakurei Turnips from Ollin Farms.

Flagstaff earned a grant from Project Produce this year to encourage children to try produce they help grow in our greenhouse. This gives students an opportunity to learn about the food we eat from seed to harvest to sampling.  We hope this will develop life long positive food behavior.

Keep an eye out for the bookmark in Friday Folders. Students can share the recipe they sampled and learn more about these delicious turnips.

100 MILE CLUB AT FLAGSTAFF
Remember, all Wednesday afternoon practices have been CANCELLED.

With so many afterschool opportunities to students, we've determined that Wednesday afternoons are a time that our teachers have the opportunity to learn and develop their own skills. In order to allow all our teachers this opportunity there will be no 100-mile club practice on Wednesday mornings or afternoons. The revised schedule is below:

Afternoon Practices - M, T, and Th 4:00-4:30 p.m.
Morning Practices - M, T, Th, and F 7:15-7:45 a.m.

Students are welcome to attend as little or as many practices as they can.
It has been so great seeing your students come out to all the 100-mile club events. We started the year off with a bang! We have over 50 students that have earned their t-shirt and 5 that have hit the 50 mile mark!
