Call For Posters Deadline Extended to November 15, 2013
Attention Project Managers, Grant Recipients and Researchers:
We are aware that some of you may have had issues recently accessing your email and offices during the government shutdown, and would like to give you a little more time to submit your poster abstract for the SSAWG 2014 Conference.
If your program outcomes or research provides information relevant to organic and sustainable family farmers and/or to those working to build local food systems, you are invited to display a poster about your work at Southern SAWG's 23rd Annual Practical Tools and Solutions for Sustaining Family Farms Conference.
Posters will be on display January 17-18, 2014 at the Mobile Convention Center in Mobile, Alabama (you do not have to be present to have a poster displayed).
Those interested in displaying a poster(s) at this event must first submit a brief abstract for each poster. Members of the Southern SAWG Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts and make decisions regarding acceptance.
We invite abstracts for posters that focus on issues related to sustainable agriculture including, but not limited to, the following topics:
- organic or sustainable commercial production of vegetable crops, field crops, poultry, livestock, forest crops, fish, cut flowers, value-added products or other specialty crops
- business and risk management
- direct or alternative marketing strategies
- local food systems
- climate change impacts on agriculture
- sustainable energy
- youth in agriculture
- community development
If your abstract is accepted, there will be a $150.00 fee to display your poster.
Please view our 2014 Call for Posters for full information regarding abstract submissions and costs. You can download the call for posters at http://ssawg.org/call-for-posters/.
Abstract submission deadline is November 15, 2013.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have, and we look forward to receiving your submission.
