Conference Registration Continues on Location Next Week in Little Rock

It's not too late to make plans to attend Southern SAWG's Practical Tools and Solutions for Sustaining Family Farms conference! Registration will be on location in Little Rock, starting Wednesday, January 23. Click here to view the program online.

We have plenty of room in our general conference sessions on January 25-26. And several of our pre-conferece offerings also have space available. Pack your bags and head on over to Little Rock. You'll be glad you did.

Lodging Update

The Peabody has been sold out of lodging rooms on the nights of January 24 & 25, 2013, but you may want to check to see if cancellations have made any available. At this writing, there were still some single rooms available at our overflow hotel, the Doubletree Hotel -- just one block away. Click here for lodging contact information.

If you need a double room, there are a few available at the nearby Hampton Inn and the Courtyard Marriott, but at a slightly higher rate and only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Southern SAWG cannot get a special block of discount rooms at either of these hotels. For the best deals, try shopping online. Hotel links provided below.

Field trip #1 and field trip #2 have sold out. But we have three other, very fine field trips to choose from. The field trip registration fee includes a light snack. All field trip motor coaches will depart from outside the front entrance of the Peabody Hotel at 12:30 p.m. sharp on January 24! No refunds will be provided to those who miss their ride. Please note that these field trips are being offered at the same time as the mini courses.

• Field Trip #3 Heifer Ranch with host Ryan Neal.

• Field Trip #4 Freckle Face Farm with hosts Mitchell & Jamie Latture and NCAT-ATTRA specialists.

• Field Trip #5 School Gardens with hosts Damian Thompson and Ryan Norman.
