2013 Conference Fee Waiver Deadlines Fast Approaching

This year we have three options for those looking for a fee waiver to participate in this conference. To learn more about fee waivers and how to apply, click here.

1. Chattanooga Foodshed (Deadline: December 1st) If you are in the Chattanooga foodshed (within 100 miles of Chattanooga), you may be eligible for a scholarship sponsored by Gaining Ground. For more information and application, click here.

2. Military Veteran (Deadline: December 14th) If you are a military veteran, you may be eligible for a scholarship sponsored by the University of Arkansas. For more information, click here.

3. General Conference Fee Waiver (Deadline: December 1st) Southern SAWG offers a limited number of general conference fee waivers to help make it possible for limited-resource farmers and soon-to-be farmers to participate in this event. Click here to learn if you qualify and how to apply.

Call for Posters!
Deadline is December 1st

If your research or program provides practical information relevant to organic and sustainable family farmers and/or to those working to build local food systems, you are invited to display a poster about your work at the 2013 Practical Tools and Solutions for Sustaining Family Farms conference.

Those interested in displaying a poster or posters must first submit a brief abstract for each poster. Abstracts are due December 1, 2012. Members of the Southern SAWG Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts and make decisions regarding acceptance. Click here to learn more.

Early Bird Registration Savings

December 20th is the deadline for the early bird rates. Download a registration form here and get it postmarked no later than Dec 20th for the lowest conference rates. Or register online. Pre-registration continues through January 11th. After that, registration will be on location at the hotel in Little Rock.
