At the United Way of Douglas County's annual meeting and campaign celebration, held Feb. 27, we recognized hundreds of volunteers, thousands of volunteer hours and a projected campaign total of $1,700,000 for the 2012-2013 Campaign. The event was sponsored in full by Maceli's.

Charles and Kathy Branson, hosts of the 2012 United Way Leadership Givers reception, applauded the generosity of the more than 400 individuals who committed $750 or more annually to support innovative programs that generate sustained impact in Douglas County.

During the annual meeting, United Way Board President Bryan Culver shared an update on the United Way's progress toward creating long-term social change that produces healthy, educated and self sufficient individuals and families.  

 

 The campaign celebration was emceed by Becki Dick, the 2012 Campaign chair. In addition to announcing the campaign results, Dick paid tribute to the many campaign volunteers and outstanding employee campaigns run by area businesses:
