Spring is just around the corner, said Punxsutawney Phil on Ground Hog Day.
Trees and plants in the Town Center area are currently being pruned and cultivated in anticipation of new growth and blooms. Well-maintained, clean and groomed areas provide the Town Center Area CID commercial property owners with curb appeal and increased value, adding a warm welcome to those entering or passing through.
Once the improvements on I-575 and Barrett Parkway are completed (July, 2013), landscaping will begin on the I-575 north and southbound islands as well as the corners on Barrett Parkway. The total investment: design, implementation and monthly maintenance will be $678,000.
In additional to the beautification and maintenance program, the TCACID has budgeted $795,000 for infrastructure improvements in 2013.
