With the completion of Corporate Row at Cobb County Airport, progress is being made on establishing a Custom's Office and new Air Traffic Control Tower. With these improvements, the airport will be a major competitive player in accommodating the corporate market.

The Town Center area continues to attract major employers - congratulations to Home Depot on the opening of its Kennesaw Town Center new customer support center with an anticipated employment of 700 by 2015.

We also welcome Dan Buyers to the TCACID board. Dan is no stranger to the TCACID or the Town Center area. He was instrumental in organizing the CID in 1997.

Home Depot's "board cutting"

Congratulations to Home Depot on the opening of their new customer support center in the northeast section of the Town Center area. The official opening was marked by an unusual twist...a "board cutting" instead of a traditional ribbon cutting.

Home Depot CEO Frank Blake listens as

Governor Nathan Deal addresses the group

On hand to assist with the event and make welcoming remarks, was Governor Nathan Deal, who reminded the crowd of local officials and stakeholders, ""My goal is to make Georgia the number one state in this nation to do business."

The 8,000 square foot facility with approximately 300 workers, is a welcome addition to the our CID.
