Greetings!,

I've just come back from a whirlwind trip to Japan. I like to connect face-to-face once a year with the designers over there with whom my contact is usually limited to emails. I also like to visit the plant where my fabric is printed. Watch for the upcoming blog on my trip and to see why I love working with these wonderful people.

My travel schedule with Sew Many Places, (a part of Craftours) has changed and I will be going to beautiful Costa Rica in February 2015. I've traveled there before with my family and I'm looking forward to taking many wonderful quilters there this winter.  Click here for details. I'd love to have you join me.

Chelsea, my latest collection, has arrived. You can read about it below along with information on our annual Anniversary Sale, free pattern downloads, and so much more including a lesson on creating your own illusion with fabric. And, of course, make sure you download the next block pattern for Starstruck, our free Block of the Month.

Discover Chelsea
If you Google "Chelsea" dozens of links pop up for the famous football (soccer over here) club, but to us the excitement comes from my just-arrived fabric line. I named the Chelsea group after the famous Chelsea Flower Show, and have featured several soft florals in the collection. You've seen the border prints and how they work so well with my Malam II batiks. Now discover the remainder of the collection with its 41 fabrics including nine border prints. The collection consists of four colorways has been divided into three color bundles which should help you choose which fabrics go together best when planning your own projects.

Log Cabin blocks are classics and beloved by quilters of all skill levels. In the Chelsea quilt, I've designed an asymmetrical block with strong contrasting colors which create a striking secondary design. The medallions from border print triangles give this quilt a unique look. Best of all, the Chelsea pattern is a free download!

(If you don't get our weekly sale emails and you'd like to, click here to Update Profile/Email Address.)

My staff and I look forward to being a part of your quilting life for many more years. Thank you all!

New Precuts
There is no denying the popularity of precuts. When you are pressed for time, they can certainly speed up the quiltmaking process and it is like a quilting smorgasbord, allowing you to have a little bit of everything. And, we have lots of projects to go with them all.

-    Bedfordshire precuts - Choose fat quarters or pixies and warm or cool tones.
-    Malam II precuts - Four fabulous colorways (Fire, Forest, Fountain and Frost) and your choice of fat quarters or pixie strips...or both!

Watch for our newsletter next month for a free pattern using our precuts!

Diamond Chain Table Runner
Fast and fun, this table runner only looks difficult but it can be completed by all levels of sewers with simple strip-piecing. The beautiful Malam II batiks use the shading method I love to create a glow. Download the pattern for free and we bet you won't be able to wait to start sewing.

Hanging a Round Quilt
Our Migrations quilt has been a huge hit since we introduced it last month. Many of you have found what a striking table topper it makes. But what do you do with a round quilt if you want to hang it on a wall like we have here at the Studio?

We found a wonderful product called Quilt Shaper which supports your non-square quilts so they can be hung. Each package contains a 12-foot length and connectors along with complete step-by-step instructions.

Learn How to Create Your Own Illusion of Curves

Creating a design like Migrations may look difficult and almost magical, but with patience and careful sewing, you too can create your own. On my "Tip and Lessons" page, I have step-by-step instructions on how you can create curves with border prints.

Lotus, Our Quilters' Quest Quilt
Last month, I gave you a peak at the quilt I have been piecing as our Quilters' Quest Shop Hop project and promised to update you with my progress.  I have been busy adding the appliqu along the outside of the quilt along with a border print from my Milan collection. This pattern will be free to all who visit the shop during the Quest. To learn more, visit the Quilters' Quest. Travel to all ten shops in one of our buses....we will have a few seats left.
