Hurricane Sandy
Haverford Township Midday Update |
Updates & Observations
According to PECO, as of 11:14 a.m., 4,953 customers are without power in Haverford Township, with 535,023 without power systemwide. Please note that Comcast and Verizon customers also are suffering outages, and you should contact the appropriate utility to report any problems and concerns.
Separately, I have now driven through the entire 4th Ward and remind everyone to drive slowly. Most roads (with the exception of Darby Road between Marple and College) are clear, but almost all are filled with leaves and pieces of branches, creating a danger to drivers traveling too fast. Otherwise, the Township continues its efforts to restore us to close to normal operations. |
Contacting The Township
The Township Public Works Department is open, and all calls to the Township (610-446-1000) will be answered by either the Township operator (during business hourse) or by the Police. Please do not contact the Township about routine matters until services have returned to normal. |
