                April-May 2016 Communiqué

Dear Friends,
Spring is evident all around us here in the Paris region as daily the trees fill out with fresh leaves and get greener with an abundance of rain. Praise God for each beautiful season of the year!

In April, the University Students/Young Professionals small group weekly meeting completed our study of The Holy Spirit and You by Dennis and Rita Bennett. Our retreat from April 8-10 was the highlight and culmination of our ten-week study as we focused on the life and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

May started out with our triennial AGWM Europe Together Retreat May 4-8. It was held in Sibenik, Croatia. Taking to the road with Joni Middleton accompanying me, I drove from Paris through Germany, Austria and Slovenia to arrive in Sibenik. Our return from Croatia took us through Slovenia again and then into Italy to return to Paris.

Joni has been getting acclimated to life in the Paris region and has found an apartment. She is gradually moving in.

Please pray for good participation in these upcoming events:

Book of James Life Groups at The Bridge beginning May 29
SFC Connect '16 July 30 - August 6

Thanking God for you,

Retreat in Picardie

April 8-10, Ronald, Lucie, Emmanuelle, Sheila and I spent the weekend at St. Maulvis. Our retreat theme continued our Life Group focus on the life and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We spent time in worship, studying and meditating the Word of God, praying for one another, eating delicious meals, and venturing out (even in the rain) to visit the village sites.

Thank you to Sheila for her welcome and generous hospitality. We are so grateful to her mom who offers us this perfect retreat environment.

We all grew closer to the Lord Jesus and enjoyed His presence. We look forward to celebrating with Ronald, Lucie and Emmanuelle at the Baptism service at The Bridge on June 26. Please pray for them.
