                December 2015 Communiqué

Dear Friends,
As this New Year 2016 begins, I reflect on the two months that I have been back in France after five months of itineration in the USA. The events of November 13th are still very fresh in the hearts and minds of the French people. On January 7th, the first anniversary of the attacks on Charlie Hebdo was commemorated. Here is an editorial to read from a British publication, The Guardian.

The Bridge International Church will launch this new year with 21 days of fasting and prayer. It will be an opportunity for us to encourage one another to seek the Lord and practice the spiritual discipline of fasting. Jesus said, "When you fast, ... "(Matthew 6:17) so we do.

Thanksgiving, Christmas and even bringing in the New Year were times of gratefulness and celebration here in Europe although the atmosphere has been much more tempered by reserve and caution. As you will see in my Communiqué, I was part of several gatherings to celebrate Thanksgiving, a 20th Wedding Anniversary, Christmas in Cannock, England and New Year's with church family and friends from the USA.

My soul has been nourished by on-going prayer, edifying fellowship, lovely Christmas cards, emails and generous gifts and donations to my missionary account. My heart overflows with gratitude to you who are with me in spirit, in prayer, in sacrificial giving.

My prayer is that each one of you will have a Joyous New Year 2016.

God bless you abundantly!

Awakening at The Bridge

Sunday, January 10 will mark the beginning of 21 days of fasting and praying for The Bridge International Church community. We desire to grow closer to God, to know Him more and conform to His will for our lives. We also want to continue interceding for our city, our country and the world. You can participate with us and use the resources available on the website.

Thanksgiving Day à la française

Thanksgiving has become a traditional day of thanks for the Top team since 2011 when they were introduced to the American-Canadian holiday.
Thanksgiving Day, November 2011, I remember preparing the entire feast with Sharmion Foucault, my Canadian culinary expert and friend. Since that "first" Thanksgiving, the meal has become French-tailored. I had the privilege of being a guest at the festivities.

Thanksgiving American- Style

When we Missionaries get together in France for Thanksgiving, it is truly a family reunion. This year, minus the Goods back in the USA for itineration, we were all present, 27 adults and 11 children. John and Nancy LeCossec couldn't be with us, but we got to talk with them and pray with them by phone.
Please pray for Nancy LeCossec. A tumor was removed from her lung. Jan. 7 was her first chemo treatment.
An Invitation to Mentor

At the end of August, while I was still on the itineration road, I received an email from a student at Sciences PO in Paris. She asked for advice, counsel and prayer concerning the launching of a university group. I took her request very seriously and prayed before responding. I received this charge as from the Lord.
I kept in touch via the Internet as the group began to come together and when I returned to Paris at the end of October, I contacted Katayi, the spokesperson for the group. I have met with the leadership team and attended the group's Christmas celebration.
I invited the leaders to attend the SFC Prayer Weekend to take place January 22-24.

Please pray for Students with Faith at Sciences PO. I'm so excited for this student-initiated group as they reach out to their classmates.

We attended Christmas Eve service at Lichfield Cathedral. I had a surprise visit from students from Paris whom I had not seen in at least five years. What a wonderful reunion.
