e-Communiqué                                  January 2015

January 8, 2015, was a day of mourning in France. Following the horrific terrorist attack in which 12 people were killed, the flags were at half mast, a minute of silence was observed at noon and once again we were reminded of how fragile we are - the Apostle Peter reminds us that

"All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever." 1 Peter 1: 24-25

Verse 23 states, however, "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."
Even though our lives here do not endure, even now we can start to live eternally as we are born of the imperishable seed of the living and enduring word of God through Jesus Christ. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him and so your faith and hope are in God. (1 Peter 1: 21)

In this New Year 2015, I pray that you and all those with whom you come in contact receive this Good News and live evermore!

Please pray for France. You can join others here.

A New Year...A New Season

Winter 2015 Life Group season is beginning soon at the Bridge International Church. TheBridgeParis University and Young Professionals will be studying The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren. What a privilege it is to disciple this wonderfully gifted group of international students. Please pray for us as we seek for God to direct our lives and give us wisdom for decisions.

Christmas with Family

It was fun to be with two of my three brothers, my sisters-in-law, and my nieces for the Christmas holidays, in Florida and in Maryland. The weather was great in Florida for walking in the sun, collecting shells on the beach and visiting Disneyworld. In Maryland, although I didn't see any snow, it was colder so we enjoyed sitting by the tree and the fireplace, doing puzzles and watching movies.

I also visited Pasadena Assembly and Cornerstone Church in Bowie, Maryland. It was a surprise for both congregations to have me among them.

SfC Prayer Weekend

I'll be heading to Krakow, Poland on Thursday, Jan. 22 for our annual Students for Christ Prayer Weekend. Missionaries and student leaders will gather from all over Europe to pray and plan for the upcoming year. Each country will give a report and together will will give thanks for all that God has done. Please pray for all of us as we travel to and fro and that everything will be orchestrated by the Lord's leading.

Thanks to You

I thank God for each and every one of you, my faithful partners in reaching the university students of France. Your cards, notes, gifts and generous support, especially during the month of December, are such a blessing. I pray as Paul expresses it so well in 2 Thessalonians 1: 11-12 - "May our God make us worthy of his calling and fulfill by his power our every desire for goodness and every work of faith, that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in us, and us in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."

Thank you again for your perseverance and faithfulness as we expect revival from the Lord!

Gratefully yours,
