Greetings!

The month of May has been full of special events. There have been hellos, goodbyes, momentous meetings, and first-time occasions. To start off the month, Katie Bailey, AGWM missionary serving at The Bridge, and I had a significant first - we went to the Opera in Paris. We saw Hansel and Gretel. At the end of the month, Katie returned to the USA for her itineration yearthe Opera. Please pray for her.

Enjoy discovering other noteworthy news of a month full of ministry in France.

Thank you ever so much for your continual faithfulness in prayer and in giving.

God bless you richly,

Friday, May 17th was a special event for the Top Mission women. We went to Paris just across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. We visited a quilt exhibition at the Mona Bismarck American Center. Just before visiting the center, we had lunch at La Cantine Russe, a Russian restaurant nearby.
It was a cross-cultural team-building experience. Most of all, we wanted to welcome, Myriam, Abi, and Aline, newcomers to Top Mission. (Aline is not pictured because she couldn't be with us that day.)

SfC France Leadership Weekend
SFC France
Mark, Dalene, Blair, and José at The Bridge..
SfC France marked a turning point the weekend of May 31-June 2 for our student ministry network in France. We had our first leadership weekend in Paris! For the past two years, we have been meeting quarterly via skype. Mark and Dalene in Grenoble, José in Toulouse, Patrice in Reunion Island, Blair, SfC Europe leader in Belgium, and me, Suzanne in Paris. Although Patrice could not be with us in person, we connected with him via skype so he could be part of this significant meeting. We established and agreed to our objectives. We also had wonderful times of fellowship and prayer.
On Sunday, the entire team worshiped with The Bridge community where I serve the university students and young professionals. We closed our time together with lunch near the Montparnasse train station. Pray for us and continued inroads for student ministry in France.
The Bridge Community Life Group Kick off

We kicked off our third Life Group session on May 13. Life Groups are such an important part of the Bridge Community. We meet every Sunday, coming together as our larger family community, However, it is in the smaller Life Group setting that relationships are developed and the family members get to know one another and grow closer to the Lord. You can peruse our Life Groups for the summer here.

Brian Neugent, Kentucky District Youth Director (who took the above photo) and his wife Becky visited us in Paris. They came to prepare for an upcoming 2014 mission trip to minister with us at The Bridge and other ministries in partnership with us in the Paris region. Also visiting that weekend was Eva Van Wessem, serving with her husband Sebastiaan as lead pastor at Thousand Hills International Church in Hilversum, the Netherlands. It was a great meal at the Arcade Cafe in St. Germain-en-Laye and the fellowship was rich in encouragement.

Candace and Katie.

Welcome Candace Cowsert, our new MA intern at the Bridge. Candace came to be with us for the summer months and is truly a Godsend for us just when we needed her the most. Thankfully, she came before Katie left us for her itineration. Katie had a few weeks to help Candace learn the ropes, and I must say, the entire staff so appreciates how Candace has just jumped in and even learned how to drive with a standard shift. Pray for Candace! We appreciate our interns!
