PSA Need a Public Service Announcement?

KWMR PSA SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

KWMR airs public service announcements for non-profit organizations, or for events that benefit non-profit organizations.

The non-profit status needs to be clearly indicated.

Please limit your PSA to 50-60 words, with Who/What/When/Where, plus contact (telephone, email, or website) for further information.

Email your submission to [email protected]

Please put "PSA" in the Subject line.

Donate your vehicle:
KWMR contracts with Center for Car Donations to help facilitate donations from donated vehicles. You can donate your car, truck, boat, motorcycle or camper. It's easy and helps keep revenue coming in that supports KWMR's mission.
You call them:
1-888-596-7288 to make the arrangements.
(Contrary to popular belief, we do not maintain a lot of used cars down here at the station.)

We want your feedback. What do you like? What makes you turn off KWMR? As your community radio station, we want to hear what you think! We know you have lots of listening options.

You can email either call or email Amanda Eichstaedt, Station Manager at [email protected] (415) 663-8068, extension 104 or Lyons Filmer, Program Director at [email protected] (415) 663-8068, ext 101

As always, thank you for listening and caring about West Marin Community Radio!

If the signal at your home is not great and you live in the broadcast area for KWMR, you might want to check out these
Listening Tips. If you need further assistance, KWMR is there for you.
June 17, 2014

There are many ways that listener/supporters can provide much needed resources (funds, time, goods and services) to KWMR. I thought I would articulate some of these - one or more might be just the right thing for you!

Be a member of KWMR. Make sure that your membership is current (remember, time flies when you are having fun). These annual individual and family memberships are a great way to support KWMR!

Join the Calendar Club! Be in a club with 274 other friends of KWMR. This monthly sustaining program ensures income: currently raising $3000/month, goal is $6000/month! You can help us achieve this goal.

Got an old car, truck, boat, motorcycle? Turn it into operating funds for KWMR! Donate it through the Center for Car Donations and get a tax letter for your contribution to KWMR, a 501c3!

KWMR recommends that you purchase locally in your community whenever possible, and when that is not possible, if you use Amazon.com we hope that you will consider adding KWMR as your Amazon Smile account!

KWMR is now signed up with Escrip, it is easy and you are already shopping! Fairfax Market is an Escrip grocery store. Thanks to the Fairfax Funkateer for this tip!

Are you a federal employee? KWMR is enrolled in the Combined Federal Campaign. Campaign number is 62254. Keep us in mind when CFC time comes around!

Be an Underwriter! Your business, non-profit, project or even just YOU, can underwrite KWMR. Hear your announcements read on the air. Underwriting can be paid or barter - got a good or service that KWMR might need to purchase and want to trade that for on-air announcements? Contact Mia at [email protected].

Donate a computer! KWMR is looking to replace some ailing equipment. In need of newer Mac computers or hearty modern PCs. Wondering if your donation might be useful? Ask our IT expert, Ian McMurray! A big "thank you" to Richard James who donated his computer to KWMR recently.

Donate your time. KWMR often is in need of assistance with mailing projects, at events and during Pledge Drives. Email [email protected].

West Marin Coastal FundSpend your $3 coins like mad and give KWMR your empty containers! The Coastal Marin Fund allows you to get the most buying power out of your funds AND support local non-profits....like KWMR!

KWMR Programmer, Jacoba Charles

Be a programmer! Do you have a hankering to play your favorite music, talk about engaging topics or just want to help with broadcasting or audio editing and recording? We may have a place for you! Email Lyons Filmer, Program Director for more info.

Large cases of unmarked bills will not be turned away. : )

We thank everyone who is so generous and caring - all of your efforts are so very helpful to KWMR.

12-1 pm "New School at Commonweal Conversations." Pauline Tesler on "Integrative Law: A Healing Approach for Resolving Divorce and Other Conflicts." A divorce is the fate of about half of all marriages, and is the reason most Americans will encounter the legal system. In addition to the inherent stresses of divorce, many families experience serious and avoidable collateral damage as a consequence of handling complex and personal family systems breakdown in a court system designed to resolve automobile accidents and breaches of contract. Nearly every family, business, and community institution is harmed by outdated ways of providing legal help for people experiencing conflict. Pauline H. Tesler is director of Commonweal's new Integrative Law Institute, a specialist in family law certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization since 1984, and a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

5-5:30 pm "Open House." "An Audiograph Special: The Bay Area's Sonic Signature." LA Theatre Works 8-10 pm "L.A. Theatre Works." Tonight, "RFK: The Journey to Justice" written by Murray Horwitz and Jonathan Estrin. Directed by John Rubinstein; starring Philip Casnoff, Henry Clarke, Kevin Daniels.

In this L.A. Theatre Works original production, the reluctant scion of an American political dynasty is forced to confront his country's most explosive social issue. And when he becomes a bold advocate for change, he must quell a rising tide of discontent.

L.A. Theatre Works' presentation of RFK: The Journey to Justice is a commission led by the University of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and co-commissioned by the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, Stanford Lively Arts at Stanford University, and the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond. Monday, June 23

8-10 am "With Eyes Open!" Peter Asmus hosts Shawn Marshall of Lean Energy US in Mill Valley. He will highlight State legislation up for a vote in the Senate on June 23. This legislation precludes other local governments from doing as Marin County does: using increased renewable energy generation to reduce carbon emissions by 19%. Also, hear how the Bolinas Kohlrabi recipe from KT's Kitchen turned out; and learn cooking tips for a low glycemic diet.

11-11:30 am "Special." Firefighting technology with Mike Rotonda, in charge of the Erikson's Aerial Firefighting fleet of Sikorsky S-64 Heavy Lift helicopters. With this year's severe drought throughout California the S-64s provide critical Aerial Firefighting capability for Fire Agencies such as Los Angeles County Fire Dept. and the Los Angeles City Fire Dept.
