KWMR PSA SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

KWMR airs public service announcements for non-profit organizations, or for events that benefit non-profit organizations.

The non-profit status needs to be clearly indicated.

Please limit your PSA to 50-60 words, with Who/What/When/Where, plus contact (telephone, email, or website) for further information.

Email your submission to [email protected]

Please put "PSA" in the Subject line.

Donate your vehicle:
KWMR contracts with Center for Car Donations to help facilitate donations from donated vehicles. You can donate your car, truck, boat, motorcycle or camper. It's easy and helps keep revenue coming in that supports KWMR's mission.
You call them:
1-888-596-7288 to make the arrangements.
(Contrary to popular belief, we do not maintain a lot of used cars down here at the station.)

We want your feedback. What do you like? What makes you turn off KWMR? As your community radio station, we want to hear what you think! We know you have lots of listening options.

You can email either call or email Amanda Eichstaedt, Station Manager at [email protected] (415) 663-8068, extension 104 or Lyons Filmer, Program Director at [email protected] (415) 663-8068, ext 101

As always, thank you for listening and caring about West Marin Community Radio!

I can barely believe that I am writing this. On Friday, May 16 at 4:45 pm Richard Dillman and I flipped the switch and KWMR's newest frequency came to life - 92.3 FM Lagunitas.

It has been a long time coming. Back in 2003 KWMR applied for the license for this translator with the FCC. Eleven years later it became a reality.

This did not happen accidentally or without the hard work and assistance of a whole host of people. Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (retired) and her staff, Supervisor Steve Kinsey and his staff, the Radio Shop Communications Division in Marin County's Department of Public Works, Chief Jason Weber and Marin County Fire as well as Michael Couzens,
Richard Dillman adjusts the receive antenna.

KWMR's communication attorney and translator engineer Charles Anderson from the fine state of Kentucky. A special thanks to Richard Dillman.

If you listen to 90.5 FM in the San Geronimo Valley you may receive KWMR with a more clear signal on 92.3 FM. You can compare the two signals and see which works better for you. If you can now hear KWMR on 92.3 FM and you could not receive it 90.5 FM - great news! I want to hear from you, please email or call: [email protected] or 415-663-8068, Ext 104 and let me know about it.

If you live in Inverness Park and have had a less than desirable 90.5 FM signal, try 92.3 FM and see if it is better (we have heard from several folks that it is improved signal quality).

Time to get the word out!

As always, we thank you for your care and support for West Marin Community Radio!
