Youth DJ: Tomales High
Submitted by Tamarah Pallingston

The Tomales High School Radio Show airs on select Tuesday afternoons from 4:00-4:30 PM on KWMR. THS Youth Radio Project is open to all students and meets after school on Wednesdays to develop a 28-minute radio program, complete with music, commentary, interviews, and publicity about the school. You will hear about the latest events of the Tomales chapter of the National FFA Organization,  a full student council report, and on-location interviews with local personalities.

Tomales High student recording audio.
Currently, there are about 10-15 students involved on a rotating basis, but the project continues to grow and evolve under the direction of Tomales High School teacher Tami Pallingston. The show is entirely pre-produced at Tomales High, and delivered electronically to KWMR.
Students from THS learn the art of recording audio and editing it for radio play.
THS greatly appreciates this opportunity to partner with our local radio station to give our students a wonderful platform to express their opinions and ideas. Our next show airs Tuesday, March 4, at 4 pm. Check it out-you won't be disappointed.
