8-10 am "Swimming Upstream." Supervisor Steve Kinsey joins Amanda.
1-2 pm "Epicenter." Herb Kutchins hosts Norman Solomon, to discuss Roots Action and its online initiative dedicated to galvanizing millions of Americans who are committed to economic fairness, equal rights, civil liberties. They will discuss Roots Action's significance for this year's political races, such as the State Senate and Assembly races.
2-4 pm "Classical Wednesday." New classical music host, Paul Smith will host 2nd, 4th and 5th Wednesdays, joining Susan Deixler (3rd Wednesdays), and Jeffry Wilkinson who moves over to 1st Wednesdays on February 5. Paul will feature regular announcements about local and regional performances.
4-5 pm "Youth DJ Project." Devon McMorrow brings us "Retro Rock Hour" every other week.
5-5:30 pm "Open House." More music and chat with students from the Tomales Bay Youth Center and director Chris Eckert.

8-10 am NEW NAME & CO-HOST. Jeff Manson joins Howard Dillon as co-host in the first hour of the newly-renamed morning show: Top of the Morning. Charlie Docherty continues his tradition as Howard's co-host in the second hour.

12 pm"New School at Commonweal Conversations." Part 2 of 2 with Ted Schettler, M.D., M.P.H. Breast cancer is not one disease, but many. The causes are many as well. Join TNS host Michael Lerner in conversation with Ted Schettler-a leader in the development of the "ecological paradigm of health." His new book The Ecology of Breast Cancer offers a fresh perspective integrating stress, diet, exercise, toxic chemical exposures, EMFs, and more.
An authority on environmental links to reproductive and developmental disorders, neurotoxicity, and other public health problems, Ted is the science director of the Science and Environmental Health Network, and science advisor to Health Care Without Harm.

2-4 pm "Classical Friday." Host Anneke van der Veen presents the music of composers between the old and new worlds from Bach to Bartok to Astor Piazolla.

11 am-noon "The Place We Live." Pianist Jacqueline Schwab, heard on over a dozen PBS documentaries by film maker Ken Burns, performs her solo arrangements of vintage American and traditional Celtic music at the Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station, on Sunday, February 2nd. Jacqueline joins KWMR's Marc Matheson this morning in conversation about her life and music.
2-4 pm "World Playground Special." Charles Schultz hosts Michael Hammond, who has select songs that have, for instance, aroused his awareness of the environment and environmental issues.
6-8 pm "The Celtic Universe." Hear from Jacqueline Schwab's Celtic music CD (she is Marc Matheson's guest today at 11 am). And, new music from Banna De Dh�, and Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas.

8-10 pm "L.A. Theatre Works: A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry. Lou Bellamy directs Judyann Elder, Corey Hawkins, Deidrie Henry, Rutina Wesley.
Hansberry's landmark story is of a working-class African-American family struggling to maintain dignity in a harsh world. With her late husband's insurance money finally in hand, Mama Lena dreams of moving to a better home. However, her children have other plans. . What happens when family dreams drastically diverge? A Raisin in the Sun is a seminal American drama and a heroic testament to hope.

10-11 am "Turning Pages: Waves of Joy." Karen Russell, author of Vampires in the Lemon Grove. NPR's Maureen Corrigan calls Russell a literary genius, and her work "otherworldly, emotionally devastating, daffy and daring."
2-4 pm "Classical Wednesday." NEW DAY for host Jeffry Wilkinson. Jeff generously makes way for new host, Robby Elfman, on Thursdays, and takes his classical spot to 1st Wednesdays, beginning February 5.
