CMCP500 Series CSA Approval
 
The CSA Approval allows CMCP500 Series Transmitters and Monitors to be installed in Class 1, Div 2, B, C and D Hazardous Areas.
 
This approval allows installation on the majority of machines found in the HPI (Hydro Carbon Processing) and Chemical Industries such as Refineries, Pipelines, Offshore Platforms and the Natural Gas Industry.
 
For Class 1, Division 1 Areas the CMCP500 Series can be mounted in a XP (Explosion Proof) or Purged Housing. Contact CMCP for details and quotation.
CMCP500 Series CSA Approvals
CMCP500 Series TransmitterCMCP500 Series Standard (Non-TSI) Transmitters and Monitors are now CSA  Approved for Class 1, Division 2, Groups B, C and D Hazardous Area Installations.
 
The appropriate CSA markings will be added to all standard transmitters and monitors adding to the CE Heavy Industrial Mark already displayed.
 
The following Transmitters and Monitors series have been approved for Class 1, Division 2, B, C and D Hazardous Areas.

  • CMCP530(A) Velocity (Acceleration In)
  • CMCP535(A) Displacement (Velocity In)
  • CMCP540(A) Displacement (Eddy Probe)
  • CMCP545(A) Thrust Position (Eddy Probe)
  • CMCP560(A) RTD
  • CMCP565(A) Thermocouple
  • CMCP570(A) Solid State Temperature
  • CMCP590(A) Enveloping
 
TSI (Turbine Supervisory Instrumentation) functions were not submitted for approval as it is not required for installations in the power industry.
CMCP500 Series Description:
 
CMCP500 Series MonitorCMCP500 Series Transmitters provide signal detection, OK Circuitry, Buffered Output and a 4-20 mA Analog Output to the Users PLC, DCS or Plant Historian from Vibration and Temperature Sensors.
 
CMCP500A Series Monitors are the basic transmitter fitted with a the companion Alarm Module providing OK, Alert and Danger Alarms with Relays, Selectable Time Delay, Latching or Non-Latching Selection and Display Outputs.
 
CMCP500A Series Monitors should be used for stand alone systems or when the user wants hard relay contacts for alarms and annunciation.
