Passing on the Legislative Chairman Baton

Colleagues,

It has been my honor and pleasure to not only have served as the NCISS Legislative Chairman for the last several years, but to also have represented the investigative profession in our nation's capital.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and my legislative efforts along with those who have stood and worked by my side, especially Larry Sabbath our Legislative Advocate and Rosemarie, my partner in life and in business.

The time has now come for me to pass the legislative baton over to Francie Koehler, the newly appointed NCISS Legislative Chair so that Roe and I can focus our efforts on the upcoming 2013 East Coast Investigators Super Conference in Atlantic City this June and some other new business ventures related to the investigative profession.

The position of Legislative Chair is extremely time consuming watching hours of boring congressional hearings and reading through scores of bills which are introduced on an almost daily basis. I am certain that Francie's many years of experience as her state's legislative chairperson will be a tremendous asset to NCISS and to our continued legislative efforts.

I have agreed to stay on as a legislative committee member for the time being to allow for an easy transition. Please try to make every effort to attend the April Hit the Hill event in Washington, DC this year and let's continue to make our voices heard loud and clear in the nation's capital.

Thanks again to all,

Jimmie Mesis, LPI
