Consumer Agency Revises New FCRA Forms

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has revised the Fair Credit Reporting Act forms that were distributed Monday.  The Bureau is making technical and typographical corrections.  The changes were announced in this morning's Federal Register.

Here is a link to the forms (double click on link.)  You'll need to scroll down to page 8 to find the three forms:

The three forms are:

A Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA
Notice to Users of Consumer Reports
Notice to Furnishers of Information

As a reminder, the three forms must be used starting January 1, 2013.  Employers and consumer reporting agencies must provide the appropriate forms when applicants or employees are subject to certain activities regulated by the FCRA, including preemployment background checks or when employers take an adverse action against an employee.
