WFA's annual Open House season begins at the San Diego County Fair. Join us on June 26, 5-7 p.m. in the Paddock Sports Pub. All members are invited and nonmembers are welcome to mingle with fair managers, directors, staff members, service members and WFA staff. If you will be attending the meetings on the 26th and need to be added to the parking list, send an email to Meetings Manager Liz Waxstein at lizw@fairsnet.org.

Western Fairs Association's Ag Council created a new Ag Leadership Award to recognize an individual, business, organization or group that provides outstanding leadership and innovation to a fair in the area of agriculture and/or animal education.

"We are proud to debut this award in recognition of the many amazing things happening at fairs that provide leadership and innovation in agriculture," said Ag Council Co-Chairs Judy Carrico and Ryann Newman.   

The award will only be presented when deemed necessary and may not be on an annual basis. The award recipient will be determined by members of the Ag Council and presented at the WFA Convention. Click here to read more about the criteria for Ag Leadership Award or make a nomination.
