WFA Election Update
Six WFA board seats were up for re-election.

 

The Cascade, Sacramento, North Coast and Central Coast area director seats, a service member director seat as well as the IAFE Zone 7 seat were up for re-election last month on the WFA Board of Directors. Here are the results so far: 

  • The Cascade and Sacramento Areas are still conducting their elections.   
  • North Coast Area: Napa Town & Country CEO Joe Anderson will serve another term.  
  • Central Coast Area: Salinas Valley Fair CEO Sarah Cummings was elected.  
  • Service Member Director: Rick Graves, Medical & Safety Management, will serve another term. 
  • The IAFE Zone 7 seat will be elected at the IAFE Convention in December.
Get Recognition for your Fair or Business
Achievement Awards Program entries due November 15.

Submit your entries for the 51st annual Achievement Awards Program by November 15. Online registration makes entering a snap and Cal Poly Agribusiness students are available to assist in preparing your entries. New this year, fairs who didn't participate in last year's program will be reimbursed for entry fees thanks to several generous fairs. You must participate in the Achievement Awards Program to be eligible to receive the coveted Merrill Award. Nominate an Industry Leader for Recognition
Hall of Fame, Merrill Award, Barham Award nominations due Nov. 15

 

At the annual WFA Convention, WFA celebrates the achievements of leaders and innovators in our membership during the Industry Awards Celebration. Members in good standing can have a say in who is honored.

Fall Managers' Conference
A conference specifically designed for fair managers.

Photo Contest    

Get your photo on the cover of the spring issue of the Fair Dealer magazine, distributed to more than 1,500 fair professionals. Plus, win $100. There is no entry fee and the contest is open to all WFA members in good standing. Photos must have been taken within the last 18 months. Enter your photo by December 1. Professional photographers are not eligible, but photos by professionals will be considered for marketing materials.
