Blue Ribbon Foundation Scholarships Awarded
Students Preston Munson and Lauren Ades receive $2,500 each.

The Blue Ribbon Foundation, the nonprofit charitable arm of WFA, is proud to announce the recipients of its scholarships.
  • Preston Munson, son of Siskiyou Golden Fair CEO Cliff Munson, was awarded $2,500. He has been active in agriculture and leadership roles through 4-H, FFA, student government and the junior fair board. He is active in competitive swimming, football, basketball and baseball and has taken a rigorous course of study.
  • Lauren Ades, daughter of Dann Ades of Cold Star, Inc., was also awarded $2,500. She is an outstanding student, maintaining a 4.21 GPA, and is a talented dancer who has also been involved in student government, the National Honor Society, the International Culture Club and her church.
The Blue Ribbon Foundation scholarship program is intended to support the network of fairs and their families by offering scholarships to further motivate high-achievers in pursuit of their careers and life goals. The program is offered in partnership with the Friends of the California State Fair which processes the applications, and manages the selection and awarding of funds. Learn more about the Blue Ribbon Foundation Scholarship Program and these talented students in the summer issue of the Fair Dealer magazine.
