For the first 11 chapters of Romans, Paul focuses on teaching his readers about God's mercy and grace. In chapter 12, Paul's emphasis changes and he urges his readers to live out their faith as true and proper worship. As we better understand God's mercy and grace, our natural response should be one of action. God has uniquely given each of us spiritual gifts, so we can willingly and lovingly use them to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to Him.
