Our goal at Prairie Lutheran is to
equip everyone with an active and confident faith.
We want to help you connect your kids to God.
How will we do that?
...by intentionally partnering with YOU (parents/families)

Here's how we plan to partner with you this year:

early childhood ministry / ages 0-3

DO YOU HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD ?
If you have a preschooler starting Sunday School this year or are new to Sunday School at PLC, we want to help with and recognize this special milestone.  We want to introduce you and your child to their teachers, their class, and familiarize everyone with how Sunday School will work and what it will look like.  Join us in the Great Hall at 9:00 a.m., on September 14th for a informal and informational gathering to get you and your child excited, comfortable, and ready for Sunday School.
Starting in September, are our two-part
Baptism Preparation Classes  where parents (and/or those who are interested in being baptized) come together as families and learn about the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, get to know each other, work on a family mission statement, and discuss how to introduce Jesus to your children.  There will also be a brief introduction to Children's Ministry at PLC and time for fellowship.  The first class will take place on September 17 & 24.
NEW!
A monthly class for parents + babies/toddlers (18-36 months) designed to be playtime with a purpose.
Each session will include a story/lesson to get the little ones worshipping God and knowing Jesus through movement and fun, along with some intentional play time that reinforces the lesson, and songs that will make them want to jump and shout!
Begins Sunday, October 12

 preschool ministry / ages 3-5

SUNDAY SCHOOL

10:00-10:45

This year we will be using the First Look curriculum for our preschool-aged children, giving them a first look at their Heavenly Father.  Our desire is that each child grow up believing:
  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my forever friend.

For more information about First Look, click here.

elementary ministry / ages kindergarten-6th grade

The elementary-aged children will be using the 252 Basics curriculum this year, which is designed to provoke discovery and shape identity through planting truths about WISDOM, FAITH, & FRIENDSHIP.

The goal is to plant these truths in the heart of each child:

I need to make the wise choice.

I can trust God no matter what.

I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

PANCAKES & PRAISE
Back by popular demand, this monthly ministry of food, fellowship, and fun JUST for the 5th and 6th graders (and any PLC Youth that also want to join), is a time for the older kids to gather in one room for pancakes (with assorted toppings), worship, and a message geared just for them.  Pancakes and Praise meets in the DEC at Prairie on the 1st Sunday of every month, at 10:00 a.m.

 wednesday night  CLUB

 1st - 4th grade
A fun, casual time of serving, learning, and growing together. We will take the theme that the kids are looking at on Sundays and go deeper, finding practical ways to apply God's truth to their lives so that they can KNOW God, LOVE God, and SERVE God better.
5th & 6th grade
NEW NAME!  Club 56 (previously KWAM) will be aimed at providing fellowship and encouraging friendships, as well as finding ways to SERVE God within PLC and throughout the community.  This will be a casual gathering for 5th and 6th graders to come with their friends and grow and learn in a fun, God-honoring way.
