Bishop Steve answers questions about Holy Conversations
Openings for young adults at Emmaus House in Portland
The young adults at Emmaus House are looking for three more housemates to live with them in Portland's downtown arts district. Emmaus House is for people age 18 - 30ish who have a passion for serving others, are interested in growing deeper in their spiritual life and would have fun living in community. This is the third year of this house, which is sponsored by St. Luke's Cathedral. And it's time now to interview if you're interested. Find out more at 772-5434 (St. Luke's) or at office@cathedralofstluke.org Compensation Committee seeks information The diocesan Compensation Committee is currently revisiting our clergy compensation process. We now use the data from the State on education salaries as a starting point. We are checking the process used in similar dioceses. This comparison includes insurance and other benefits. We are also going to compare in-state data in these areas. We welcome any input from clergy or congregations. Please send any information to Peter Bickford at pmbick@myfairpoint.net. We will present our findings at our next convention. Thank you for your help.
