St. Paul's, Brunswick, seeks Christian Formation Director

St. Paul's, Brunswick seeks a Christian Formation Director (20 hours per week/11 months per year) to join our vibrant church community. We believe that each church school experience is an opportunity to show children that God is love, and this truth is reflected in the ways we model cooperation, compassion, and community. We expect to call a new rector in the next six months, and our new Christian Formation Director will work closely with the rector to develop an engaging program that serves approximately 50 children per week.

Invite the Rev. Chuck and Beth Bradshaw to speak about their upcoming mission work in Uganda

Lately when we meet up with friends around the Diocese of Maine, they typically say, "You're still here?  What happened?  Have you been to Africa and back already?"  No, we haven't left yet.  Yes, we are still in Maine, enlisting our financial and prayer support, hoping to depart for Uganda in late summer- provided we meet our goals in donations and pledges by then.

We welcome invitations to visit congregations in Maine to present the "Maine 2 Mityana" mission; or to meet with outreach committees, Bible study groups, ECW chapters, etc., on Sundays or any day of the week.

If interested in inviting them, please contact the Bradshaws at 288-4129 or beth.bradshaw4@gmail.com

Spirituality and S'Mores - for adults who teach or lead kids

Join other Christian Ed teachers, priests, deacons, youth leaders, pilgrimage leaders, diocesan volunteers - and other people interested in the spiritual growth of teens and kids - on May 31 to June 2 at Camp Bishopswood.

Come and enjoy nature, campfires, colleagues, discussions, new and old ideas. You'll gain skills at responding to kids' tough questions with an openness and faith that encourage spiritual growth, rather than with "right answers." We'll explore ways to help kids look at the world through Christ's eyes.

Lodging and meals provided.  Stay for the weekend or join us for some of it. Invite your spouses and friends, or invite them to Bishopwood's Spring Work Weekend, with whom we'll share meals and fun. To register, contact Jane Hartwell at jhartwell@episcopalmaine.org.  Click here for more info.
