Evan Grae Davis is an international documentary filmmaker and long-time Tucsonan. Back in the late 80's, Evan was a member at Access Tucson producing and volunteering on shows. Now he returns and brings his vast experience, accomplishments and knowledge to serve on the Board of Directors.

Just this past summer, Evan voiced his support of Access Tucson at a Mayor and Council meeting. Evan spoke passionately about the importance of community media and how Access Tucson influenced his career choice.

Evan Grae Davis has traveled the world with camera in hand for nearly two decades advocating for social justice through writing and directing short documentaries and educational videos championing the cause of the poor and exploited.

Evan's first feature-length documentary, It's a Girl (2012), questions why millions of female babies are killed, neglected or abandoned in China and India every year.

The film tells the stories of abandoned and trafficked girls, of women who suffer extreme dowry-related violence, of brave mothers fighting to save their daughters' lives, and of other mothers who would kill for a son. Global experts and grassroots activists put the stories in context and advocate different paths towards change, while collectively lamenting the lack of any truly effective action against this injustice.
