Happy Holidays from Access Tucson

Access Tucson is closed for the holidays:
Monday, December 24th through Tuesday, January 1st.
See You in the New Year!!!
Thank You Tucson!

Thank you to all who participate in this year's online auction. Your bids raised more than $5800.

Access Tucson would also like to thank the many individuals, local businesses, restaurants, artists, authors and non-profit organizations who showed their support for community media by donating a catalog of goods and services worth more than $12,500 (see below for a list of our wonderful donors with links to their websites). Without you, the auction would not have been possible.

Through the support of people like you, Access Tucson Community Media is continuing to protect and support freedom of speech in Tucson and Pima County. We are proud that we have been able to maintain this important resource while dealing with ongoing funding challenges.

The online auction is only one of our many fundraising activities. As you make your year-end donations, please consider giving to Access Tucson. Your donations are tax-deductible for this year if made by December 31, 2012.

The year Access Tucson has:

  • Trained more than 300 adults and young people in studio production, field production, and animation. Provided nearly 30 non-profit organizations with media services.
  • 200 member/producers have used the facilities, equipment and training to create over 552 hours of local, original programming for channel 20 Cox/ 74 Comcast plus online distribution.
  • Provided tours for schools, exchange students, Girl and Boy Scouts and worked extensively with the Joint Technological Education District providing Master Classes for youth.

We hope you'll think about how you can participate in community media at Access Tucson in the coming year!

We have an exciting future ahead with help from supporters like you. We want to personally thank you for your donation and for supporting community dialogue and participatory democracy!

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a bright new year!
