Office Based Treatment for Opioid Use Disorders
Special Course 4 Hours 1-A CME credits: Michigan is facing an epidemic of opioid abuse. William Morrone, DO, will speak on office based treatment for opioid use disorders and the issues facing today's physicians. The session will be Saturday, 1:45-5:45 pm and it is offered as an individual course, or included in the registration fee. To register for the single, special course, click HERE.

Florida CMEs
This year we will once again feature Florida CME hours. The CME hours are included in the registration of the convention OR you can register for just the Florida CME sessions. Scientific Research Exhibit Competition

The MOA will once again host a Scientific Research Exhibit (SRE) competition. The SRE competitions provide osteopathic medical students, residents, fellows and attending level physicians an opportunity to present their medical and scientific research to our profession. The SRE event demonstrates the very best of what osteopathic medicine is and reaffirms the profession's commitment to the advancement of science in osteopathic medicine. This program has grown each year and for the 2nd year we will feature Oral Presentations. NEW! Those attending the Oral Presentations will also earn CME credit. 
 
Due to popular demand, SRE posters will be displayed through Saturday afternoon.

Resolutions for the House of Delegates Due March 14
Submitting Resolutions to the House of Delegates
The 2016 Michigan Osteopathic Association House of Delegates will meet on Thursday, May 12 from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Edward Village Michigan (formerly the Adoba) in Dearborn, Michigan. If you have resolutions you wish to submit to the 2016 House of Delegates, you can now do so via the MOA website.

Any MOA member in good standing may author a resolution; however, introduction of resolutions to the House of Delegates is limited to delegates, alternate-seated delegates, component associations, MOA Departments, Councils, or Board of Trustees. Non-delegate status members in good standing should contact their component association for assistance in identifying an appropriate channel for resolution introduction.

AOA Accepting Credits Earned in 2016 for '13-'15 CME Cycle

If you're a handful of continuing medical education (CME) credits short of meeting the American Osteopathic Association's (AOA) requirements for the 2013-2015 CME cycle, you're in luck. AOA members now have the option of applying CME credits earned between January 1 through May 31, 2016, to the 2013-2015 AOA CME cycle. Questions can be directed to AOA Client Member Services Senior Specialist Victoria Ortiz Folino at (312) 202-8140. To apply credits earned from January 1 through May 31, 2016, to the 2013-2015 AOA CME cycle, complete and sign the AOA attestation form, and submit the signed attestation form along with your CME certificates to the AOA Customer Resource Center via fax to (312) 202-8202 or email.
