Autumn Scientific Research Exhibit Competition

The Michigan Osteopathic Association's (MOA) Fourth Annual Autumn Scientific Research Exhibit (SRE) competition will be held November 7, 2015 in conjunction with the MOA 11th Annual Autumn Scientific Convention at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids November 6-8.

The MOA recognizes that the advancement of scientific research plays a critical role in our mission to improve health care through osteopathic medicine.

Every year, MOA hosts two SRE competitions at the Spring and Autumn Scientific Conventions. These competitions provide osteopathic medical students, residents, fellows and attending-level physicians an opportunity to present their medical and scientific research to our profession. The SRE event demonstrates the very best of what osteopathic medicine is and reaffirms our commitment to the advancement of science in osteopathic medicine.

Korean Medicine Techniques

Internationally renowned Korean physician Joon-shik Shin, PhD, K.M.D. (Korean Medicine Doctor), founder of Jaseng Hospitals, will present a lecture on his specialized blend of Osteopathic Manipulation and Eastern Techniques, dubbed Motion Style Acupuncture Treatment or MSAT. Dr. Shin presented at an event on the Michigan State University campus in July, 2015. The attendees ranged from local D.O.s to K.M.D.'s from Jaseng Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.
