Good Day to My RLC Family,

                                         

 

Psalm 46:10

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Up until a few weeks ago whenever I was driving I listened to my music - either Positive Hits radio or MWS or Chris Tomlin. However lately I have felt the need to "Be Still" - no music and not necessarily any hard thinking - just sitting and being still and feeling the calm - listening for guidance in the transition time we are in - listening for His will - listening for what I had forgotten (sometimes that still does not work... J ). During this time of transition we all need to take the time to just "Be Still" and listen and realize that He is God and that He has got this!!!

Join us on Sunday to listen to Pastor Phil Hirsch preach the Word (he is better known to us as Ken and Dee Tillman's son-in-law). Thank you to all that stayed after church last Sunday for the informal meeting! The congregation meeting is July 12th after the 10:00 service. Look for budget and other items in your inbox or mailbox at church starting this Sunday. A light lunch will be provided.

                      Our Virginia Synod Service Project Work Day will take place Sunday, July 19th after our  morning worship service. We will be creating small bags for foster children to carry their possessions. Volunteers are needed to cut fabric, sew fabric, insert cording and iron fabric. These bags will be delivered to the Virginia Synod Women's Convention on

August 14-15. 

Check out the "BEE" board for sign-up and needs/equipment requirements. 

You do not need to sew to participate!
