Resurrection E-News

 Dear Resurrection Family,

We have one service of worship this Sunday, June 21, at 10 am. Bishop Jim Mauney will be present to preach and help us move into the next chapter of life for Resurrection and for the Kniseleys. Amy has done a wonderful job in selecting beautiful music. The violin and trumpet will be wonderful additions to our piano and organ accompaniment.

The hymns for worship include: Lift High the Cross, Ancient Words, Amazing Grace, and Resurrection People. Anthems by the Praz Team and Chancel Choir include: The River is Here, In Christ Alone, Celebrate, Worthy is the Lamb and A Celtic Blessing.

We have good news about Esther Johnson. Her hip surgery went well on Tuesday and she is expected to come home this week on Thursday. She has been a real trooper in dealing with pain these past several months and she looks forward to walking again without pain and a cane.

Please keep Ken Redding in your prayers. He underwent a heart procedure this past Monday and had hopes of going home soon. The doctors are keeping him a bit longer at the hospital in Arlington because blood tests indicate a possible heart attack.

We are looking forward to Vacation Bible School on July 6 to 9. We have room for lots more children. Registration forms are available at the display in the narthex. Two more folks have signed up this week to serve as staff (Stephanie and Savannah Anderson will assist Pastor Carol with Crafts).

Lastly, we aren't forgetting Father's Day this Sunday. We have a gift for each father/grandfather who attends worship. Many thanks to all who are spending Father's Day with us this Sunday at worship and brunch.

May God's richest blessings be granted to you and your entire household.

In Christ's love,

Pastors Carol and Jim
