Getting Through the Holidays

Our Adult Forum will be very meaningful this Sunday as Tom and Carol Bailey help us address "Getting Through the Holidays". This session is for folks who have a hard time at Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's. This session is also for folks who want to understand and help others who may difficulty with this time of the year. Please join us in the Fellowship Hall at 8:45.

Light Candles for the Saints in Heaven

Our All Saints Worship begins with the opportunity to light a candle in memory of a departed loved one. Our hymns are "Blessed Assurance", "For All the Saints" and "Lead Me Lord". The scripture readings are Revelation 7:9-27, I John 3:1-3, and Matthew 5:1-12. This Sunday we begin using our new bulletin format. Our worship service begins at 10:00.

Oktoberfest!

Immediately following worship, everyone is invited to our Resurrection Oktoberfest in the Fellowship Hall. We are bringing the Oktoberfest activities inside since the weather report says it will be about 50 degrees outside. You can expect good music, beer and root beer, brats and hot dogs, German potato salad and sauer kraut. Bring your camera to have a picture with Martin and Katie Luther. We'll have a renewal of marriage vows in the spirit of the 1525 wedding of Martin Luther and Katerina von Bora. You can purchase products from Old Lutheran ("Sin Boldly" beer glasses, Martin Luther coffee mugs and "All Lutherans have baggage" luggage tags. There will be games for the children. All donations are designated this year to support Resurrection's Mission and Ministry (general operating fund).
