We commend the excellent adult forum series that begins this Sunday at 8:45 in the Fellowship Hall. Our RLC Grief Ministry is hosting this second annual grief series. The topics for October 12-19-26 and November 2 include:

                        Grief and Divorce

                        Children and Grief

                        Grief and the Holidays

Community Health Fair on October 18

Our Community Health Fair is taking place on Saturday, October 18. This is the 8^th Health Fair we have provided. Ever member of Resurrection is encouraged to attend. Some may say, "We have our own health care elsewhere." The reason we all attend is to show support and encouragement to all who come to Resurrection that day. This is part of our "hospitality evangelism". The 35 health care providers who will have displays really appreciate it when folks stop at their displays and identify themselves as members of Resurrection.

This year we will have 4 short lectures available during the Health Fair. The topics are:

                        Scams and Frauds (Spotsylvania Sherriff's Office)

                        Mental Health in our Daily Life (Mental Health America)

                        Domestic Violence (The Empower House)

                        Falls and Their Prevention (Heart to Heart Care Options)

Our Community Health Fair is free for all and takes place from 9 am to 1 pm at Resurrection. Here are some of the free screenings available: Blood Pressure, Body, Fat, Body Mass Index, Cholesterol, Foot Exams, Glucose/Diabetes, Hearing, Oral Cancer and Vision.
