Confirmation Classes A.D. 2014-2015

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being."

Great seeing most of you this past Sunday!  This is an example of the RLC Confirmation News sent periodically to our confirmands and faculty.  This coming Sunday morning (Sep 21st) we will again meet in the Sanctuary...

8:45-9:00 Gathering and check-in time

9:00-9:30 Acolyte Orientation (large group)

9:30-9:45 Opportunities to serve at Worship (small groups by grade)

NOTE:  All 4th Graders and 5th Graders interested in serving as acolytes are invited to join us this Sunday for the Acolyte Orientation.  Parents are invited too!

SPECIAL NOTICE for SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 28th:

September 28th is our congregation's 25th anniversary celebration!  Most Christian Education classes will not meet that day but CONFIRMATION CLASSES WILL MEET AS SCHEDULED at 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM in the Conference Room and Library (large group on Luther's Small Catechism) followed by small groups by grade from 9:15 to 9:45 AM.  If your parents are looking for something to do, bring them along to meet us and participate in our discussions!   We encourage parents or grand-parents to participate in any confirmation classes throughout the year.  If you have friends that want to join us, they are certainly invited!
The Bible verses shown on the blackboard above are the first three verses of the Gospel according to Saint John.  We prayed those three verses at the end of our last session, along with the next two:  "In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.  The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."  Please click on the link on the blackboard to take you to a great on-line Bible resource:  www.blueletterbible.org
Remember...
Pray Before Opening (PBO)
Expect to encounter Jesus each time you open your Bible!

You can find the entire confirmation curriculum and schedule on the RLC Resources Page!
