"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.  We are witnesses to all that he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree; but God raised him on the third day ."

Greetings!

We are finishing our 40 day journey to the cross and beyond during Holy week. Maundy Thursday services are very meaningful as we remember the Last Supper of Jesus with his 12 disciples, where Jesus commanded (mandated) the sacrament of Holy Communion.  Please join us tonight at 6:30 PM for this memorable service.

Then tomorrow on Good Friday at 7:30 PM we have a special Tenebrae -- a service of shadows and darkness as we remember the Christ's suffering on the cross for us.
Here is where we are in our studies:

+  Luther's Small Catechism - Pastor Carol has gone over the Ten Commandments and the Apostles' Creed and the Lord's Prayer with all confirmands.  Next up starting April 14th will be confession, Holy Communion, prayer, and duties.

+  8th Grade has finished viewing the film Luther.  Starting April 14th we will review church history, faith statements and confirmation verses, and three weeks of review with Pastors on the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, and the Apostles Creed.  The Faith Statement format (in Microsoft Word) is now available for your download and use.  If you need it in another format, please let Eric know.  It is also posted as an Adobe .pdf file to show you what it should look like.  Affirmation of Baptism will be on Sunday May 19th at the 8:30 Service.  Rehearsal will go on Saturday May 18th at 4:00 PM in the Sanctuary, followed by the rehearsal dinner for your families at 5:30 PM in the Library and Conference Room.  Please let Eric know by April 28th how many people you plan to bring to the rehearsal dinner.

+  7th Grade just about finished their studies of the Gospels, and should start on Acts of the Apostles and a little fun church history stuff starting on April 14th, along with a review of the Lord's Prayer and the Ten Commandments.

+  6th Grade continues to work through the Old Testament studies of the major prophets (Nevi'im) and writings (Ketuvim).  Starting April 14th they should include a review of the Ten Commandments.
We are on EASTER BREAK with NO CONFIRMATION CLASSES on Easter Sunday (March 31st) nor on the Second Sunday of Easter (April 7th).  Eric will be there on April 7th should anyone have any questions or want to review anything.

Remember our schedule and curriculum can be found on-line on the RLC Resources page.
