Dear Friends in Christ,

"Goodness is something so simple; always to live for others, never to seek one's own advantage."

Dag Hammarskjold,
Markings

Jesus, in his human life, is the perfect respondent to God.  The author and finisher of life and faith is the archetype of all humanity -- the perfect steward of all entrusted to his care.  Shaped by grace, his life is lived to honor God and to serve God's people.  Jesus calls us to live in complete harmony with the plan of God, following his example by each taking up our cross and walking in the Way of Life.

On Sunday, March 17th, each member of Resurrection Lutheran Church - young and old - will have the opportunity to complete an estimate of giving card.  On this card, each of us may indicate our plan for giving to the Mission and Ministry fund (operating fund) for the next fiscal year (July 2013 through June 2014).

Giving generously and cheerfully is an important expression of your faith and life as a disciple of the Christ.  Thanks be to God for your faithful support of our journey and work together in the name of Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

Grace, Mercy, and Peace to you in this season of Lent.

All that the Father gives me will come to me,
and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

For I have come down from heaven not to do my will
but to do the will of him who sent me.

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.

For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:37-40
