iLEAD in Action

Greetings!

What Is a Learning Studio?

iLEAD AV is a Learning Studio, which means we are a hybrid campus that offers studio hours, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Mon-Thurs and 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Fridays. Your learners can attend Studio time every day, as little as every 20 days or any combination in between. You can design their schedule to fit the needs of your individual learner and family. Just speak with your learner's facilitator for more info or to change your Master Agreement. Workshops forms have been sent home. Please complete them and return ASAP so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
Back to Studio Night

Please join us for Back to Studio Night 5:45-7:45 p.m. Sept. 7. Come sign up to volunteer, meet your child's facilitator, learn more about iLEAD Antelope Valley, get your fingerprints completed (fee), tour our campus, and learn about your learner's classroom expectations and what to expect for the year.

Ball Bash Fundraiser: Earn volunteer hours just for donating! We need playground toys. Bring any of the following items and earn two volunteer hours that count to your 40 hours a year commitment.
  • Basketballs
  • Dodge balls
  • Jump ropes
  • Chalk
  • Hula hoops
  • Small balls
  • Tricycles (4 hours)
  • Soccer balls
  • Cones of all sizes
  • Frisbees
Just check in at the front with Miss Holly and place your item in the appropriate bin. Thank you for your participation!

Volunteers and iLEAD

iLEAD is looking for volunteers just like you. That's right: Have a ton of time? We need you! Like to help but can't be on campus often? That's OK, too. Fall somewhere in the middle? No problem! iLEAD's flexible volunteer opportunities mean any parent or guardian can be involved in their learner's education.

Please join us at our back to studio night volunteer table for more information.

Being Good Neighbors

We would like to remind our families and visitors to please be very mindful when choosing where to park, though we encourage use of our valet service, when visiting our campus for any reason.

Please remember that our neighbors are very supportive of our site -- despite the impact we have on their daily operations -- and that all of our neighbors love iLEAD. Let's show them the same support by parking in iLEAD parking lots if at all possible and not blocking emergency VET parking. Blocking Vet parking causes already distraught pet owners to have to make several trips to and from their vehicle to ensure their animal receives the best care. Many visitors are elderly and are unable to walk long distances. Please also remember to not block driveways, and always yield to our neighbors when using valet.

If you need clarification as to where to park please ask ANY iLEAD employee. We thank you for your support in creating a win-win as we begin the year. Thank you!
iSUPPORT Parent Group

Do you have a new idea for events, outreach, or fundraising? Want a larger volunteer role? Our iSupport parent group meets twice a month.

We discuss events, fundraising and, new this year, our members will have the opportunity to booth at community events.

"But...I can't attend meetings." No problem, you can call via UBER conference or listen to the meeting after the fact to stay updated.
Please complete the following survey so we can plan our meetings to accommodate our families' availability:

Do You Love Your School?

If you love iLEAD, then spread the LOVE!! Tell others about our amazing school and the weekly tours on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. You can also leave us a review on our YELP and Facebook pages. Follow @iLEADAntelopeValley on Twitter for updates.

Zumba -- Down the Road at iLEAD Lancaster

I'm sure you've heard of the dance exercise craze called Zumba. It is a way to exercise in disguise while enjoying world rhythms and dance moves like Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton, and more!

It's a fun hour of a heart-pounding workout that is for all levels of fitness (and coordination). "I can't dance" does not apply! Everyone can enjoy Zumba!

The good news is you can now enjoy it in the village at iLEAD on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. (unless there is an event scheduled for that space).

The even BETTER news that it will be offered as a weekly fundraiser for our school's needs. Second-grade facilitator at iLEAD Lancaster, Margaret Wassner, is a certified Zumba instructor and is looking forward to Zumba-ing with the fabulous iLEAD community.

We will have FANCY FEET FOR FUNDS, we will CUMBIA FOR CASH, DANCE FOR DINERO, SALSA FOR CENTS, and MERENGUE FOR MOOLAH.

Admission is donation-based, with a minimum suggested donation of $5 per class. This next week's Zumba class donation will be for P.E. equipment. Dress for a sporty good time.

This is for adults only and unfortunately we are unable to provide childcare at this time. Come join the party, help the school, and get healthy.
