Please note that due to our care team working a full day at school on Wednesday we will NOT be able to provide childcare or supervision on the play yard during Back to School Night.
Back to School Night will feature four rotations in lower school:
6:00 to 6:25
6:30 to 6:55
7:30 to 7:55
7:00 to 7:25

Join us for SCVi's Flag Courtyard Dedication Friday
We will officially dedicate our new Flag Courtyard this Friday, September 9, at a ceremony to commemorate Patriot Day and celebrate the courtyard's inaugural use. The dedication ceremony will act as the unveiling of the Flag Courtyard, which was the brainchild of SCVi high school senior Adam Miller.
Miller, a soon-to-be Eagle Scout, began the work on the Flag Courtyard two years ago as part of his Eagle Scout Project and his 10th grade personal project.
We welcome all SCVi family members to join us for this special event. All first responders are encouraged to attend wearing their uniforms.

Thank You to Volunteer Families - 2nd Orientation Date Added!
A big THANK YOU to all our families who attended our first volunteer orientation of the school year. We had over 50 parents at this orientation, and we know that your learner's facilitators will be grateful to have your help. Because of the high demand we are adding additional volunteer orientation dates. Our next meeting will be 9 a.m. Thursday, September 8, in The Village.
As part of iLEAD's philosophy on providing a personalized approach to learning for every child, setting goals at the beginning of the school year is very important. Your child's facilitator or advisor will be scheduling an ILP (Individualized Learning Plan) meeting starting this week, and throughout the rest of September. Lower School learners will schedule with their facilitators and Upper School Learners will schedule their ILPs with their advisor.
The purpose of this time is to allow the learners, themselves, to focus on their own personal growth and what they want to achieve both academically and socially-emotionally this school year. At their ILP the learners will set goals, and create a plan of action to achieve those goals. While we understand that it is difficult for some parents to take the time away from work to attend, we encourage you to reach out to your child's facilitator to find a time that works for you and your family.
If you would like to set up a time for a parent facilitator conference without your learner present you may do so by reaching out to your child's facilitator or advisor.

Drum Line Coming to SCVi
We are excited to announce that a drum line will be starting at SCVi. This will be an after school program for elementary, middle and high school learners. Below is a copy of the introduction letter from percussion instructor Matt Fullove. Please contact Matt if you are interested in joining!
Thank you for expressing interest in SCVi's Drum line program! We are excited to bring this new program to the school and students. Drum line is a fun and exciting activity that helps to build teamwork, discipline, coordination and musicality. During the start of this program we will be teaching students the fundamentals of how to read music and play marching percussion. This will then extend to performing marching cadences and marching literature to be shared with the school and community.
A tentative program schedule plans for two, one-hour after-school classes per week. This may change due to the number of learners signed up in each grade level. Classes are scheduled to meet regularly through the first week of December.
There will be a $120 per student program fee required at the start of the first class. All checks should be made payable to "SCVi." Any questions can be directed to percussion instructor Matt Fullove.
We look forward to a wonderful beginning to this exciting new program!
