Message from the Directors

|
What a great start to the year! The energy at both studios has been amazing! We are so pleased with all the proactive conversations we have had with parents, learners, and staff. Everyone is thinking win-win and we love it.
We want to also thank all of you who have already submitted your master agreements. Any learner missing master agreements can NOT attend the studios and is at risk of disenrollment. Thank you all for helping and working with Ms. Devera on this year's enrollment process.
We are full in all grades but 4th grade. We have spots open in 4th and do not have a waiting list so please let any friends know. They can contact us at info@ileadencino.org.
Several of you have asked about subscribing to the iLEAD community calendar. For those of you using Google Cal, you can simply click on the button on the bottom of the calendar on the upcoming events page. For those of you using iCal, you can subscribe with the Calendar ID: Here
Lastly, we are very excited about our robust field studies program. Please be sure to always check the field studies section at the end of the Monday Message.
Looking forward to seeing you all next week at Back to School Night events and the Parent University.
Mrs. Kaufman and Mr. Rios

New Year, New Focus
Dear iLEAD Encino Families,
Welcome to the new school year! I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and Scarlet Foundation and describe its role in iLEAD Encino.
Scarlet Foundation was established by parents to support iLEAD Encino. Our mission is to ensure that all of our learners have the best educational experience possible. We work toward that goal by partnering with the administrators, facilitators and families of iLEAD Encino to develop and support programs, events, and community-building activities that go above and beyond the school's traditional resources. Our ability to help improve our school depend on you and your participation in our activities and fundraisers such as our upcoming Annual Giving campaign.
You can read more about Scarlet Foundation on our website, scarletparents.org, and you will find weekly updates from us in the Monday Message. The Scarlet Foundation Board and I welcome your questions and thoughts about how we can best support iLEAD. You can see who we are and reach us through the website or any time you see us on campus.
Here's to a great year!
Kenchy Ragsdale
President
Scarlet Foundation

5th & 6th grade ASTROCAMP!
Our 5th and 6th grade will be traveling together to ASTROCAMP! The overnight is scheduled Nov 4-5. The overnight Field Study trip incorporates the 5th and 6th grade science curriculum into an exciting, adventure-packed journey!
ASTROCAMP is a unique outdoor science program available to the learners of our school. Specializing in astronomy and the physical sciences, ASTROCAMP meets the increasing demand for up-to-date education on these rapidly advancing fields of science.
Where better to learn about the universe than under a clear night sky in the mountains! Classes include lights and lasers, rocketry, electricity and magnetism, and a sophisticated observational astronomy evening program, among many others. ASTROCAMP also has a large pool for microgravity classes and high ropes course for team building. The entire ASTROCAMP experience is designed to awaken and sharpen student interest in the scientific study of the universe as well as build self-esteem and problem solving skills through safe challenge activities.

Pali Institute offers a customized program to suit our school's requirements, providing around-the-clock supervision and instruction, allowing teachers to relax, observe and engage with their students in educational activities.
