New Roles for Familiar Faces


Many of our staff members have been given new roles this year. Here are a few of them:


Anasa Washington, no more Middle School: Hi, my name is Anasa Washington and this year I have transitioned into the iLEADership Resident position. For the past three years, I have been a middle school facilitator and I have loved every minute of it. This year, I am challenging myself to do something different. I will now be working with learners, facilitators, parents and other school staff to make positive changes in our school environment.  Please don't hesitate to ask me anything. I may not always know the answer, but I will search until I find it. I am looking forward to working with all of you! We wish to welcome you back to iLEAD Lancaster. We sincerely hope you all had restful summers and we are looking forward to a year full of growth, exploration, community and fun! 


David Williams has earned the title STEAM Coordinator: I am overseeing Exploratorium and Makery. Will be facilitating in (at times) in both. And also, I will be helping support middle school and the pilot Innovation Studios Middle School here at Lancaster.
















Suzanne Ronge is so excited to be over at iLEAD Lancaster again this year: I am a mom of six girls, four of whom attend iLEAD. My new role this year is care team for Innovation Studios. I help with instructing activities and classes throughout the day and help in any area of work they need.  






Misty Luettgerodt, new kindergarten facilitator: I am back in kindergarten, but this time teaching it! I am so excited to be onsite every single day!












Reminder 


Every Friday at iLEAD school is out at 12 p.m. for all learners.  
Volunteers and iLEAD 


iLEAD is looking for volunteers just like you. That's right: Have a ton of time? We need you! Like to help but can't be on campus often? That's OK, too. Fall somewhere in the middle? No problem! 


iLEAD's flexible volunteer opportunities mean any parent or guardian can be involved in their learner's education. Join us for half an hour at our volunteer information meeting on Friday, Sept 2 at 9 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. to find out how YOU can help. You only need to attend one meeting. 
Being Good Neighbors 


We would like to remind our families and visitors to please be very mindful when choosing where to park when visiting our campus for any reason. If you need to drop off your learner and valet is over, please park and walk your learner in. Learners without a parent cannot be properly checked in late. 


Please do not double park in front of the school, ever, and when using valet always pull as far to the right as possible when waiting to enter the driveway. 


Please remember that our neighbors are very supportive of our site -- despite the impact we have on their daily operations -- and that all of our neighbors love iLEAD. Let's show them the same support by parking in iLEAD parking lots ONLY as well as not blocking driveways and always yielding to our neighbors when using valet. 


If you need clarification as to where to park please ask ANY iLEAD employee. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT TURNING LEFT INTO THE VALET ENTRANCE AND OUT OF THE EXIT IS A HAZARD TO BOTH YOUR VEHICLE AND OUR LEARNERS. IT IS ALSO A TRAFFIC PATTERN DISRUPTION.  


If you cannot accommodate these traffic suggestions local law enforcement will be ticketing any vehicle impeding traffic. They have notified us of their awareness of our traffic problem. We thank you for your support in creating a win-win as we begin the year. Thank you! 

iSUPPORT Parent Group 


Do you have a new idea for events, outreach, or fundraising? Want a larger volunteer role? Our iSupport parent group meets twice a month. We discuss events, fundraising and, new this year, our members will have the opportunity to booth at community events. 


"But...I can't attend meetings!" No problem, you can call via UBER conference or listen to the meeting after the fact to stay updated. Join us for our first meeting which will be held in conjunction with our first volunteer info meeting on Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. You only need to attend one meeting..

ZUMBA at iLEAD 


ZUMBA AT iLEAD! Help our school, have fun, and shape up!



I'm sure you've heard of the dance exercise craze called Zumba. It is a way to exercise in disguise while enjoying world rhythms and dance moves like Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton, and more! It's a fun hour of a heart-pounding workout that is for all levels of fitness (and coordination). 


"I can't dance" does not apply! Everyone can enjoy Zumba! The good news is you can now enjoy it in the village at iLEAD on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. (unless there is an event scheduled for that space).


The even BETTER news is that it will be offered as a weekly fundraiser for our school's needs. Second-grade facilitator Margaret Wassner is a certified Zumba instructor and is looking forward to Zumba-ing with the fabulous iLEAD community. 


We will have FANCY FEET FOR FUNDS, we will CUMBIA FOR CASH, DANCE FOR DINERO, SALSA FOR CENTS, and MERENGUE FOR MOOLAH. 


Admission is donation-based, with a minimum suggested donation of $5 per class. This next week's Zumba class donation will be for our school's P.E. equipment. Dress for a sporty good time. This is for adults only and unfortunately we are unable to provide child care at this time. 


Come join the party, help the school, and get healthy.
