A MESSAGE FROM ANNE COCHRAN
| |
Hello Wonderful New and Returning NoHo Families!
Right now -- Monday Message press time on Wednesday evening, August 24 -- I can honestly say all of us at NoHo are completely over-the-moon happy with how well our first few days of fall semester 2016 have progressed.
As much as I love seeing all of the familiar faces return to our front patio, and love greeting the brand-new learners who've decided to join us... I think my happiest moment of these last few precious days was found within the minutes prior to opening the front doors to welcome everyone -- just entering the front gate and walking the temporarily empty hallways, remembering how exciting and downright scary it was to open as a new program a couple of years ago at this time, wondering if all of you were actually going to come.
Well, you did. We built a learning community and strong culture together, and we're grateful... and we are continuing to constantly grow and change for the better, benefitting from your ongoing support and trust.
Speaking of support, I will tell you we wouldn't be as well off today without the ever-constant help we receive from our Parents In Partnership (PIP) organization. I can't even imagine where we'd be today without PIP! Here are just some of the much-loved and needed items and activities PIP strives to make possible for our kids to use and enjoy:
- Support for our popular electives -- music, speech & debate, theater, art
- Field trips
- Campus beautification
- Special events -- holiday parties, arts performances, facilitator appreciation
- Equipment and supplies for classrooms and facilities
- Director/Administration support
I promise you NoHo wouldn't be the same at all without PIP's support. Thus, we enthusiastically invite you to donate your time and/or $$$. No amount is too small or large.
The form for donations is attached below... and remember, every donation is tax deductible!
PIP's next parents-at-large meeting is happening on Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. and our first fall 2016 board meeting is scheduled 6 p.m. on Sept. 20.
And here is PIP's volunteer/donation form to complete and sign.
Thank you in advance for your support in whatever form it takes. All of us couldn't be more appreciative!
Best, Anne Cochran Director, iLEAD NoHo
