The Classic Jewish Text Class Series continues; Beth Jacob Adult Learning brings you The Five Megillot! For every chag, there is a special text that brings us into the season and illuminates it, allowing us to understand the holiday in depth. Join five outstanding teachers at Beth Jacob as they guide us through the Megillot. The class is free, and no RSVP necessary!

Blood Drive

Thanks to everyone who helped make the Beth Jacob Annual Blood Drive a big success: Chairs Dave Honan & Sharon Benmaman, all the volunteers, and especially to everyone who donated! 61 pints of blood (this much) were donated, and we have had a meeting with the Red Cross to make sure that people can get in and donate much more quickly next year!

The Caring Hearts Supply Drive for Homeless People is asking you to participate in collecting much needed hygiene supplies and over-the-counter medications from February 1 to February 28. Monetary donations are especially welcome. Please make checks payable to the "HealthEast Foundation Homeless Project."

How do we understand and express our Judaism in the 21st Century? As Jews we find ourselves compelled to respond to the challenges of our ever-changing world, scientific discovery and increased awareness of the suffering in our world. Starting January 14, the class will be using the book 'The Great Partnership: Science, Religion and the Search for Meaning' by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks.

Enhance Shabbat and to prepare for services. Mindfulness meditation helps to make our minds more spacious, perceptive and free. Each session will include a short teaching followed by a sitting period. No experience is necessary.

The Amos and Celia Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School is excited to offer a $3600 tuition grant to all new students entering the school at any grade for the 2016-17 school year.
