B'nai Mitzvah
Saturday, May 30, 8 pm
Asher and Nathan Sobotka are both 7th graders at Saint Paul Academy.
Asher's favorite activities include sailing and photography, and he also loves to follow world news. He is looking forward to racing sailboats on Lake Calhoun this summer!
Nathan also enjoys sports, though he likes tennis and soccer, and will spend this summer at sports camps and building models of historic naval ships.
One of their mitzvah projects is donating to Lo Tishkach, which works to preserve and protect Jewish Cemeteries and mass grave sites throughout Europe. They are also making donations to the United States Holocaust Museum, in support of the photograph and document identification and labelling project, which aims to identify holocaust materials while survivors are still alive and able to share their knowledge.
Asher and Nathan will be reading from Parashat Beha'alot'kha this Saturday evening at mincha services, which will begin at 8:00 pm at Beth Jacob.
