This year, Selichot at Beth Jacob will feature a performance by Dylan Fresco. Dylan is a dynamic, talented performer, and this event is not to be missed!

"Welcoming The Stranger"

Welcoming The Stranger is a 30 minute solo performance weaving together true stories of refugees, family and faith. Originally commissioned by Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council, Dylan has been sharing this memoir piece with diverse audiences since 2011. Following the performance, Dylan will lead a facilitated reflection and conversation.
Following a reception, Rabbi Amy Eilberg will daven Selichot.

Thank Our Officers
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
This year at Beth Jacob we are asking kids to make cards, letters, pictures, etc., at home to bring here on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to give to the police officers who are outside. We will be delivering them in groups during children's programming.

After Kiddush at 12:45 pm
Everyone truly is welcome! Sing to praise G-d, to open your heart, to make something beautiful together, or all of the above. The focus is on liturgical songs with harmony, chants, rounds, and niggunim.

Introduction to Judaism
Tues. evenings, 7:00-8:30, beginning Oct. 21
Are you curious about Judaism? Considering conversion? Want to know more about your background? An interfaith couple?
Beth Jacob is offering our first ever comprehensive Introduction to Judaism course, taught by Rabii Cathy Nemiroff. The course will cover fundamental concepts of Judaism, liturgy, Jewish history, the life cycle, and cycle of Holy Days. Our learning community will celebrate Shabbat with a class dinner and attendance at some Shabbat services together. The course will emphasize "Jewish doing." Couples are encouraged to attend together.

Young Adults and Young Families
Apple Picking
Enjoy the Fall weather with St. Paul Federation Young Leadership and Beth Jacob!
Get lost in the corn maze, pick out a pumpkin, take a hayride, drink some hot apple cider, and bring home a bag of crisp and juicy apples.
From 2-4 p.m. Young Leadership will have a table set up inside the orchard with free cider, apples, and other apple treats to share. We will raffle a few prizes at 3 pm. Look for the Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul sign.
Admission $3 for adults and $2 for children under 4.
